PROJECTS
LIL GRACE
This is an ongoing project for which I am the designer, illustrator, and animator. It’s a collaboration with Shannon Speaks, who is a therapist, coach, and mindfulness teacher. The project has moved through different design phases, including surveys and focus groups to get feedback on character designs, illustration styles, and content from the target audience of female helper and caregivers. We also tested prototypes and got feedback before finalizing the first book.
The first book, Lil Grace: Self-Compassion For Helpers & Caregivers, was published in 2026, and is the first in a series of Lil Grace books. Included in the book are cut-out pages with interactive instructions for bringing Lil Grace wherever she is needed, so helpers and caregivers can share their stories and experiences on social media and fell connected to others going through the same things.
MOONLIT TRAILS:
A Magical Collection of Poetic Tales
Moonlit Trails is a collection of 14 poems and illustrations created to remind you that you are magic. Whether you’re young, young at heart, feel like this world wasn’t quite made for you, or find yourself in need of a little magic, whimsy, and inspiration, this book is for you!
This book aims to bring positivity and inspiration into people’s lives. I wrote, , illustrated, and designed this book between 2024 and 2025, and it was published in 2025.
A FRIEND MADE OF STARS
A Friend Made of Stars is a children’s book I wrote, illustrated, and published in 2025 with the help of a grant I received from the Burton-Morgan Foundation through LaunchNet at Kent State.
A Friend Made of Stars follows the life of a young girl who has to move away from the magical forest of her childhood. Although she misses her best friend, she lives a happy life and is eventually able to share her sense of wonder and magic with her daughter and granddaughter, never doubting that magic is real!
OTHER ANIMATIONS
The following animations were created with a variety of different media, including Procreate, Adobe Fresco, Photoshop, and AfterEffects, as well as traditional media (watercolors).
This project was featured on Behance in 2023.
